Librarians Who Dance

Congratulations are in order to North Campus Librarian Erin Fennell. She, along with her dance partner Ricardo Read, recently won the first place title of 2009 USA Stage Tango Champions in New York City. Fennell can be found dancing around our reference desk when she is not performing in various South Florida productions.

Need Some Info? Bing It On.

There's a new search engine out there giving Google some competition. It's Bing, Microsoft's Live Search renamed and repackaged in a sleek, slick design. The new kid on the block aims to give users relevant information quicker, with fewer clicks of the mouse. Unique features include a daily changing background scene of some of the world's most unique places with hidden information links, and the ability to play thumbnail videos by hovering over them. Does Microsoft's attempt to out-Google you hit the mark? You Bing and decide.
